I agree with you. This guy applied his GC in 2001 and got it in 2003. In just 2 years. He made a stupid decision to leave MSFT and then lost 3 jobs in a short span. He is some nut mental case who is happy seeing others getting screwed. Maybe he works his way up by pushing others down.

MS Office's 2000 release and Windows NT releases were path breakers. In my opinion, if you are in any group other than these 2 groups within MSFT, I dont think the work is truly satisfying. If your concern is a stable paycheck then ignore my opinion.
Back in late 2000, the labor queue in WA, CA, NY and TX states was way too huge and the processing times were long. I surveyed the land for labor certification times and chose to move to MN or IA inorder to get thru this process faster. I chose a dot com company in MN and my labor and I140 flew fast before the 9/11 disaster struck. Oh BTW I was millionaire "on paper" for about 28 days :-). You may think that I went thru the entire GC for just 2 years. You need to check with people who had been GC during that time of the times we were in. In those days, in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, every immigrant in the midwest was scorned with hatred. Google immigrant tales and you will know. I had planned hard, gave up a stable paycheck and went thru 3 layoffs to get my GC. I believe that the long queues atleast in labor and I140 are due to a large number of people applying from NY and CA. I hope you would realize that people think through issues before making decisions. If you have not done the same dont scoff at people who do so.

The right to control the beneficiary is different from actual control. An employer may have the right to control the beneficiary's job-related duties and yet not excercise actual control over each function performed by that beneficiary. The employer-employee relationship hinges on the right to control the beneficiary.

For instance, a sponsoring company has every right to determine if an employee shall be placed on a project billed at $50/hr or if they seek another project/client with a higher billing rate. Similarly, the employer has every right to determine if the employee will be placed at a client requiring a project manager or at a client requiring a developer, thus effectively controlling the beneficiary's job-related duties!

Please do not spread rumors, can you please point me to the rule that says so? I did not see any Immigration law saying that God's Son doesn't need a Green Card. Christ wasn't born in USA, and neither were his parents US citizens, so his chance of US naturalization comes from a path through Green Card or Asylum. I dont think Christ had a 4 year degree (recognized by USCIS), so he does not qualify for GC based on EB1/2/3 categories. He could claim asylum though religious persecution, but then I am not sure if Christianity was recognized by USCIS during Christ's time :D

What is $170 and $180? I got this number from my attorney.
However, we are getting conflicting #s on application fee!
Please resolve these #s. Lawyer fees vary. So we can give least and max #s.
$170 - Fees for I-131 / Application for Advance Parole / Travel Document.
$180 - Fees for I-765 / Application for Employment Authorization.
$ 325 - Fees for I-485 / Application for Adjustment of Status to register as Permanent Resident. ($225 for applicaiton below 14 and over 80 (Should check on this))

That is against its (USCIS) regular processes and guidelines and smacks of disrespect for its own procedures, guidelines and we immigrants, who rely on it.

In the end, my question to US Congressmen, USCIS and DOS is who is looking at impact to us? Were we wrong when we followed DOS Visa Bulletin on 13 June 2007? If not, why we should bear the financial and other losses? We are legal, law abiding residents. Does being good residents make our trials and tribulations meaningless and irrelevant for laws and departments of USA? To me it sounds unfair and unjust. I do not think you understood the meaning of my words correctly.
If you are a friend of YSR, you won't find a better friend than him and he will go out of way to help you. If you are his enemy, be prepared for consequences. This is also the motto of US Army and its origin is attributed to what a famous roman general once said of himself.

YSR is a very successfull CM. He delivered what mattered most to the poor people. Some other states like Tamilnadu are introducing some of his schemes like Rajiv arogyashree. More than 30 people died after learning that he is dead. Very few people can inspire that kind of reverence and affection. He may have his short comings but he achieved more than most can dream of.
It is silly to quote corruption every time you discuss politicians. Show me any major politician of consequence who did not face corruption charges at some time or the other. It is always present in one form or the other since the beginning of politics. We are all watching what is happening with healthcare reform bill here and how powerfull insurance industry is influencing it's outcome.
And who is making these allegations? Surprise, opposition parties and some sections of media that are opposed to him.
His death is definitely a loss to the state. We need competition among politicians and that competition existed between YSR and Babu and I like both of them. Between the two, I think AP progressed overall.
This thought of submission is exactly what has always pulled India back from moving forward. That unless you are corrupt you are not normal. Speaking out against corruption is abnormality for us. YSR is a very successfull CM. He delivered what mattered most to the poor people. Some other states like Tamilnadu are introducing some of his schemes like Rajiv arogyashree. More than 30 people died after learning that he is dead. Very few people can inspire that kind of reverence and affection. He may have his short comings but he achieved more than most can dream of.
It is silly to quote corruption every time you discuss politicians. Show me any major politician of consequence who did not face corruption charges at some time or the other. It is always present in one form or the other since the beginning of politics. We are all watching what is happening with healthcare reform bill here and how powerfull insurance industry is influencing it's outcome.
And who is making these allegations? Surprise, opposition parties and some sections of media that are opposed to him.
His death is definitely a loss to the state. We need competition among politicians and that competition existed between YSR and Babu and I like both of them. Between the two, I think AP progressed overall.
This thought of submission is exactly what has always pulled India back from moving forward. That unless you are corrupt you are not normal. Speaking out against corruption is abnormality for us. Just starting out schemes does not ensure good. If everybody from the CM to the peon in the office demands his share how does the money trickle down to the needy?

I think another positive aspect of banning labor substitution would be, for people who switch jobs after I140 approval the chances of old employer revoking application is slim (because employer can't reuse labor for anyone else).
